From identifying a need in 2000 for smaller companies to have the same quality financial management as large companies, we have grown to a team of 8, providing hands on financial management to a client base that covers all sectors from manufacturing, engineering, retail, charities, recruitment and estate agents, with a combined turnover of over £70m.

Peopleshare client in £3m expansion plan
Swiftool Precision Engineering Ltd, who are one of the leading engineering companies in the region, have just completed on the purchase of a 29,000 sq ft new factory in Huthwaite which will allow the company to double in size.
Swiftool are expanding with the help of a £600k EMDA Grant for Business Investment grant, and Peopleshare were delighted to have been involved in preparing the financials for the grant application, as well as providing the ongoing monthly financial management to the business.
Its fantastic to see a company doing so well in the "current climate" and we wish Stuart and Peter all the very best for the future.
HMRC payment plans
HMRC are still offering payment plans on VAT, PAYE and corporation tax, but it very much depends on who you get when you call as to how successful you will be.
Some operatives tell us that they have no intention of withdrawing this facility, but if you have used it before they are getting more and more difficult to negotiate. They now want to ask far more in depth and personal questions about your business and financial situation.
Peopleshare Sage training division growing
Since becoming a Sage Accredited Accountant Partner earlier this year, our training division has gone from strength to strength, with our training being 100% tailored to the clients needs and and at a time and place to suit the client.
Release of Sage Line 50 2011
Sage have now released Line 50 2011.
The new features include an improved bank reconciliation function, flat rate vat, charity reporting and web store integration.
As always we would recommend waiting until the first bug fixes are relased and they have found the obvious things that are wrong.

Latest interest rate decision
Today the MPC voted to keep interest rates unchanged again. Concerns over future inflation and the state of the economy have kept interest rates at 0.5% for the 18th month in a row.

HMRC tougher on repayment plans
We are finding that HMRC are now becoming even more reluctant to approve requests for payment plans for VAT and Corporation Tax, especially if you have been "enjoying" the repayment plans of the last 18 months.
Prepare for very tough questioning if you want to request a payment plan.
Clients who have got Corporation tax payment plans in place are still finding they are receiving aggressive letters threathening legal action - please make sure you call them and make sure they have your payment plan on file, it won't stop the letters but should stop any legal action.
